Here’s someone who struggled with emotional eating and binging, lost 25+ lbs* and kept on refining to become a fitness competitor. She’s a champ for overcoming binge eating, especially in an environment (strict diet and pressure) that tends to create binge eating in competitors. She’s doing her work!

Without being able to use food to suppress her emotions, they are exposed and raw. She faces them and feels them. She uses all her available support, resources and especially her Wise Inner Self. This is one fine example of what courage and extreme self-care could look like.

She is also an example of what eating 6 small purposeful , nutritious meals a day while working out can do. Fitness competitors are vigilant about getting their meals in wherever they are, whatever they’re doing. It forces one to let go of worrying about what others think and being true to themselves.
